Need some reasons to join us at Art Hop next Friday the 4th? We’ve got quite a few. With the new addition of the Arts Council Greater Kalamazoo Art Hop Trolley, getting down to Jerico from downtown just got a lot easier!

Our Jerico residents are pulling out all the stops for Art Hop on May 1st from 5–8 PM! Across the complex, you’ll find art for sale, hands-on activities, and plenty of coffee and treats.

Join us on April 18th from 11am-1pm for a sculptural workshop at Kalamazoo Kiln Room. This workshop inspires creativity as you learn sculptural techniques that you can use to create your very own work of art. Each participant will leave with their own unique piece!

Join us on April 2nd from 6-8pm for a workshop on slab-built pieces incorporating carving! Each participant will leave with a unique, handmade piece and some new skills! Kalamazoo Kiln Room provides all of the materials you'll need to create your own work of art.

Learn the basics of wheel throwing in our introductory class! Each participant will learn how to center, pull, and shape pieces on the wheel, as well as the basics of glazing fired pieces. Classes include all of the clay and tools you'll need to create your very own works of art!

Join us for this one-day workshop where we will help you create your very own ceramic ornament! During the workshop participants will design, build, and decorate their piece(s) and choose a glaze for the final product.

Volunteers will learn how to identify returning native perennials and the best way to maintain your native gardens to keep them looking their best and as ecologically productive as possible. Join Fiddle Leaf Cafe for their third annual Pumpkin Carving Contest! This is a family-friendly free event with activities for the kids! Join us for cider, chili, pumpkin carving, and prizes! Contestants need to register thru Fiddle Leaf via email @ fiddleleafcafe@gmail.com. Contestants will pay $5 entry fee and will automatically be entered in the raffle!

The Ground We Stand On: Arts & Action Gathering, Grass Ain't Greener Poetry Release event will blend art, activism, and celebration in the spirit of social and environmental justice. This event will feature two dozen tables from climate organizations and artists, live music from The $2 Bills, Satellite Records Sale, Fiddle Leaf Cafe food & drink, a poetry reading, book singing & sale from Harper Horvath, and a call to action for collective justice efforts!
