Jessi Phillips, Gabriel Goldstein & Annie Bacon all came of musical-age in San Francisco many years ago. After Annie & Gabriel played a string of shows together in the Bay Area & Virginia in summer of 2025, they are reconnecting for a Michigan round. Expect heartful folk songs that lean seaward and homeward, rich with harmonies and highly literate lyrics.

Travis Swanson is a guitarist, composer, and educator currently based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, he did his undergraduate studies at Northern Michigan University, and his graduate studies at the University of Michigan where he studied with Miles Okazaki, Andrew Bishop, Ed Sarath, and Robert Hurst. Prior to his graduate degree, Swanson spent his early twenties living in Los Angeles, Austin, and Memphis where he garnered recognition in the blues and R&B world touring extensively around the United States and Europe.

Fiber Arts Club will meet every month on the second Monday from 6-8pm. Bring your knitting, crochet, quilting, sewing, embroidery or other fiber project to work alongside others in the Guild community! This is free to anyone with a passion for fiber arts. Seeing machines are welcome and some are available in the space if needed.

SongSisters – Sue Fink, Patti Shaffner, and Amy Dixon-Kolar – are award-winning singer/songwriter friends who discovered that their own distinctive styles blend together, creating something richer than the individual, stronger as a whole. They delight in and celebrate each other’s music: each “sister” takes the lead on original songs, the others adding soaring harmonies and instrumentation.

The powerful vocals of Beth Patterson, Halley King, and Athena Kaufman combine forces in Many Faces. Weaving harmony rich vocals with vulnerable lyrics, their all original songs speak to the human condition and healing journey that arises from a commitment to growth and self-actualization.

Our Jerico residents are pulling out all the stops for Art Hop on May 1st from 5–8 PM! Across the complex, you’ll find art for sale, hands-on activities, and plenty of coffee and treats.

Enjoy an evening of playing with clay! This is an open class structure, meaning you can make whatever you want. The name of the game is play and you can get as creative as you want with the clay!

Songs for Mother Earth-let’s show our love for the Mother of all things with meditative and contemplative song and chant. The newly released Wheel of Life CD and companion booklet will also be available.

A troubadour of truth, Nashville resident Crys Matthews is among the brightest stars of the new generation of social justice music-makers. Grace Theisen (pronounced “Tyson”) is a queer Americana artist originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Join us on April 18th from 11am-1pm for a sculptural workshop at Kalamazoo Kiln Room. This workshop inspires creativity as you learn sculptural techniques that you can use to create your very own work of art. Each participant will leave with their own unique piece!

Join touring Nashville artist Lucy Isabel and Michigan-native i.am.james. for an evening of contemporary folk songs, weaving harmonies, and storytelling from these lyric-driven songwriters. Special guest Neo-soul songwriter Shai-Li will open the evening!

Cellist and vocalist Jordan Hamilton is a mix of mastery and maverick musicality; hip-hop influenced, rhythmically layered, melodically robust. Seth Bernard is a powerhouse of Michigan’s music scene, an award-winning singer-songwriter, and a passionate environmental advocate whose artistry transcends the stage to inspire social change.

Kevin Jones is a percussionist, band leader, producer, and educator. A native of Englewood, New Jersey, Kevin grew up in a household immersed in jazz, soul, gospel, and blues, from Charlie Parker and Lou Rawls to Nat King Cole and Mahalia Jackson, along with the pop and R&B legends of the times. Reportedly, Kevin’s grandmother, Maggie Walker Jones, once played with (and maybe even recorded with) Bessie Smith. The arts of all types were nurtured in the Jones household and piano lessons were a requirement, not an elective. 

Join us on April 2nd from 6-8pm for a workshop on slab-built pieces incorporating carving! Each participant will leave with a unique, handmade piece and some new skills! Kalamazoo Kiln Room provides all of the materials you'll need to create your own work of art.

Interested in costume making? Guild is hosting a once a month costume/cosplay meetup where you can bring your costume works-in-progress or just stop by to meet people and share ideas. Guild holds a wide variety of materials and equipment for you to use. And it’s free! No sign up necessary, just stop by! Ages 16+

This beginner-friendly class is designed for folks with zero sewing experience. We’ll go step by step and focus on building comfort and confidence as you get to know your (a) machine.

Dede Alder Electric/Lahydee Dey explore the sensual side of life. Expect a sultry and musically rich landscape of songs with chill grooves to sink your teeth into. Sauce is applied with thick innuendos and pushing the envelope lyrically. Playful crowd interaction is a must, bring your dollar bills.
