Meet Up: Reusable Gift Wrapping at Guild

Join us as we create reusable gift wrapping for the holidays based on the traditional Japanese wrapping cloths known as Furoshiki. We have tons of fabric to share, but if you have holiday-themed fabric, old clothing or linens, or anything else specific you’d like bring to use/share/swap feel free to bring that as well. We are currently low on fabric scissors so if you have some to use or donate to the space please bring!

Enjoy an evening of playing with clay! This is an open class structure, meaning you can make whatever you want! The name of the game is play and you can get as creative as you want with the clay! Each participant will receive enough clay to make a mug, vase, planter, or anything else! Instructions will be given to get started and provide the basics like attaching a handle, creating texture, or a specific shape.

All supplies included and NO experience is needed - just an open mind and a little creativity!

All pieces will be fired and glazed by the instructor after the class. You will be able to choose from 4 different colors to finish your piece.

Hold Hand Goods One Day Pendant Making Class at Jerico

Learn how to make your own jewelry at home, and leave with your own handmade sterling silver pendant! This will be a one day, 4 hour class held at the Jerico building in Kalamazoo, MI on Saturday, March 8th from 12pm-4pm. The class is $150 per student, with 6 spots available for the day. The cost of this course covers all materials used for the day.  In this class you will choose a moonstone, aquamarine or moss agate stone, and will be provided with all materials to make your own sterling silver pendant with a set stone. An 18” sterling silver curb chain necklace is included so your pendant will be ready to wear. You will learn the steps of creating a set stone pendant and be given tips and information on how to make jewelry at home.
