Darcy Wilkin and Brian Koenigsknecht at The Clover Room
Doors @ 6:30 pm
Show @ 7:00 pm
Tickets: $20
Darcy Wilkin grew up surrounded by music, attending bluegrass festivals and coffee house concerts with her family. Her house was a regular stopover for touring musicians, where her folks would host jam sessions and parties where Darcy stayed up way too late, absorbing the music around her. She considers this unique upbringing a gift, as it led to her own musical path.
She co-founded the Corn Fed Girls in 1997 and is an active solo performer. She released her debut solo album, Bristol, produced by Joe Newberry, in 2020. Darcy returns to the studio this summer, once again working with musician and producer Newberry. Showcasing Wilkin’s sublime songwriting and singing, the album will feature a number of special guests who were early influences of the Kalamazoo-based artist.
Pain, beauty, loss, redemption, renewal. Few artists capture life’s travails and triumphs as penetratingly and as powerfully as Kalamazoo singer-songwriter Brian Koenigsknecht. - John Sinkevics -Local Spins
