Washington Ave Arts and Culture Crawl (WAACC)

Join us at Jerico for the Washington Ave Arts+Culture Crawl. Fiddle Leaf Cafe will be open with extended hours, and artist Bree Bird will be featuring their works to the public in the Jerico Gallery.

“Sometimes the planets make my belly hurt.” Playful, honest, and full of feeling, Bree Bird’s punch needle collection will debut in the Jerico Gallery during the Edison Neighborhood Association Washington Avenue Arts & Culture Crawl on Saturday, April 14th.

She writes:
Hi, I’m Bree! I live, create, rest and move in Kalamazoo, MI. One of my favorite things about being a human is my ability to connect to other-than-human beings. I flirt with Color, consider Wind a friend and feel deeply connected to supporting creative energy always. My mother’s mother’s family are weavers going all the way back which I bet is why holding fibers feels so good to me. The first time I tried punch needle was the first time I felt that my hands could bring my mind’s eye out. That’s a fun feeling!

View her work on display on its debut night during the Washington Avenue Arts & Culture Crawl on Saturday, April 14th from 12-3pm. WAACC is a free Art+Culture event located in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood. Each location will host a participatory art-making project, group activity, exhibition, or performance.
