Jessi Phillips, Gabriel Goldstein & Annie Bacon all came of musical-age in San Francisco many years ago. After Annie & Gabriel played a string of shows together in the Bay Area & Virginia in summer of 2025, they are reconnecting for a Michigan round. Expect heartful folk songs that lean seaward and homeward, rich with harmonies and highly literate lyrics.

Annie Bacon is a writer and songwriter living in Ann Arbor (via Maine and San Francisco). With her OSHEN she merges a literary writing style and folk-rock Americana sound to create rich and emotionally complex music. Her most recent album, 2024's Storm, praised as "a landmark release" (Glide), "mature and sophisticated songwriting" (AmericanaUK), and "brilliant nostalgic elegance" (The Wild Is Calling). Gabriel Golstein is a modern-day troubadour, native to Charlottesville, Virginia, but increasingly migratory. To pay the rent, he's worked as a housepainter, cook, shepherd, bartender, dockworker at a lobsterman’s co-op, and camera operator. But whatever his day/night job, and wherever on earth it finds him, he is writing songs. These songs, deceptively clad in the guise of country-folk, are glimpses into a far-gone world, variously mournful and raucous, cozy and surreal.
