Breathe and Listen: Grounded Action Pt. 2 for a Free Palestine at Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis
This session focuses on breath as a practical tool for staying present in moments that feel charged. Led by Andy Bachman (they/them) 500-Hour Yoga Instructor and embodied liberation worker. Ticket costs support a monetary donation to HEAL Palestine.
Many of us are navigating conversations right now that feel tense or exhausting. With family. At work. In our communities. When emotions run high, breath is often the first thing to change, shaping how we listen, speak, or shut down. This session focuses on breath as a practical tool for staying present in moments that feel charged. We will explore accessible breathing practices that support nervous system regulation before, during, and after stressful situations. Movement will be minimal and supportive, with more emphasis on breathwork and facilitated discussion. Together we will reflect on de-escalation practices informed by organizing, nonviolent communication, and collective care. The goal is not to fix or persuade, but to stay grounded and responsive.
Sliding Scale: Supported, Standard, Community/Pay It Forward →$20/$35/$50 per session
or $50/$85/$125 for the entire 3-part series (divided up between each ticket price, see ticketing for details)
This event is part 1 of Grounded Action (for Palestine). You are welcome to attend this session on its own. Each ticket purchased supports a monetary donation to HEAL Palestine, a non-political nonprofit providing relief and support through Health, Education, Aid, and Leadership.
